We lovingly produce handmade wall coverings, ceiling coverings, design elements as well as pictures from real moss. There are almost no limits to creativity. We own forests throughout Europe, where we collect our valuable raw material moss gently and sustainably at the right time. (Learn more about sustainability and the raw material moss HERE). Already during the collection in the forest and again shortly before the drying process, all mosse are carefully cleaned by hand and freed from dirt and pine needles. In our own dye works, the dried mosses are then gently treated and dyed using our special print preparation process. Since we carry out each of these steps ourselves, we have purity and quality permanently in view. We know exactly what our moss can do and how to treat it.

Dry floristry as a starting point

Since 1998 we have been working in the field of dry floristry. We have often been asked about our mosses as a popular element in floral arrangements, bouquets or as Christmas decorations. However, we only dried the mosses. They lost their color quite quickly and fell apart easily. In order to achieve a longer lifetime, we started first experiments in the field of preparation and dyeing and today we are proud to have developed a unique pressure preparation process. This makes our products stand out significantly from those of our competitors.

From small works of art to interior design

Our first smaller moss paintings were created using a simple glue gun and a lot of creativity. Small pictures quickly turned into larger works of art and we realized that the moss can be used for more than just decorative small art. Why not paint entire walls, furniture, or panels?! We discovered that mossy surfaces not only look beautiful, but that the moss can even “do” something. With these exciting findings, piece by piece a completely independent area of interior design developed and the Moos-Moos Manufaktur was born!

Since 2016, we have grown steadily and now employ around 50 people in all areas of production, administration and sales. We serve customers worldwide. With branches in Germany and Spain, we started to expand our sales network in 2020 and are ready as a reliable partner for interior architects, designers, room greeners or exhibition stand builders. With our moss products we create a unique feel-good atmosphere in modern biophilic design. Naturalness and sustainability are the focus of our work.
